A new state scholarship scheme has been introduced to support employees of Armenian resident commercial organizations in pursuing studies at top foreign universities

The Government of Armenia has adopted Resolution No. 267-N, dated March 6, 2025 (effective from March 21, 2025), which approves the procedure for granting scholarships to employees of commercial organizations registered in the Republic of Armenia, aimed at supporting their studies at prestigious foreign higher education institutions.

Who is eligible?

Employees of Armenian resident commercial organizations who have worked at least 2 years with their current employer, if the employer covers at least 50% of the tuition fee.

Which universities are eligible?

  • Bachelor’s programs – Top 65 universities according to Shanghai Ranking (www.shanghairanking.com)
  • Master’s / PhD programs – Top 75 universities according to the same ranking

Scholarship or co-financing amount:

Covers the remaining tuition fee, up to 10 million AMD per academic year.

Additional obligations:

The employee must commit to work for the same employer for at least 3 years after graduation. In case of breach of contract, the employer must reimburse double the amount of the state-provided scholarship or co-financing.
